Access Statement for Camping, Caravan, or Holiday Parks Best Practice

 

Introduction

 

Situated on the East coast of England, between the resorts of Mablethorpe and Skegness, EastviewCaravanPark, Chapel St Leonards is ideal for a short break or holiday near the coast.

 

The park was first opened in July 2006 and has been going from strength to strength ever since.

 

EastviewCaravanPark caters for seasonal and casual guests. We have 100 seasonal pitches, 42 pitches with electric hook up and 20 non electric tent pitches. The site is located on predominantly flat ground.

 

We cater for tourers, motor homes, trailer tents, tents, tepees and folding caravans and we are located just ten minutes walk from the beach and local amenities. The nearest convenience shops are also located further down Trunch lane.

 

We have wheelchair accessible toilets and washing facilities, which include a level entry shower and handrails. Both washrooms have under floor heating and hand drying facilities.

The nearest railway station is in Skegness Approx 6 miles away, an accessible taxi can be booked in advance, see contact information for details

 

The nearest bus stop is located directly outside the park.  All buses on this route have wheelchair access. Buses arrive at the stop every ten minutes during peak season and every 30 minutes out of season, they take around 30 minutes to get to Skegness and approximately 5 minutes to get into the village, depending on traffic.  Bus times can vary, for further details see the bus www.stagecoachbus.com/PdfUploads/Timetable_46380_Coastal%20Guide.pdf

The nearest Shop mobility is in Chapel village centre, there is also one located 1.9 miles away in Ingoldmells on Sea Lane, opposite the Ship inn pub. Key Collection

 

Please report to reception on arrival, car parking is available

 

A £10.00 refundable barrier pass can be collected on arrival at the main reception.

 

Once registered at reception guests can access the park via a barrier operated using an access code. For guests who have difficulty, there is an alternative button to press for assistance.

 

Parking is available for 5 cars. The parking area has a gravel surface with a paved walkway leading to the office. This area is well lit at night by safety lights.

 

We can show you to your pitch/caravan/lodge on request.

 

Touring Facilities

 

All touring pitches are grass based and have an electric and water hook up point.

 

Assistance with pitching is offered, subject to staff availability.

 

Parking on the grass beside your caravan or tent is permitted.

 

There are numerous water points, chemical toilet disposal points, dustbin areas and fire points on the park which are no further than 50 metres away from any pitch.

 

There are two washing up sinks outside/ near each toilet block. Two sets at the top toilet and shower facilities and one set inside the main toilet and shower block.

 

Pitches are allocated on booking and staff are happy to advise which pitches are suitable for your requirements.

 

Toilet & Washing Facilities

 

There are two toilet blocks with level access. One block is located close to the reception and the other toilet block is located halfway up the park on the top filed, all of which have paving around them.

 

Both blocks have individual disabled toilet and shower facilities with low level sink, hand rail and hand dryer.

 

Grounds and Garden

 

The park is large and spacious; 15 acre site, with low level flat grounds.

 

Hedgerows divide the park into small discrete areas.

 

There is a children’s play area which has a gate to entry and is located at the top of the centre row just after pitches 21 and 21A. The surface of the play area is grass surround with safety chippings integrated under play equipment.

 

 Future Plans

 We are planning on building a new road surface at the top end of the site.
